Great Statement WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER ENROLLING INTO CAPITAL BAPTIST DEAF COLLEGE? Fact #1: CBDC is located in the middle of three major Deaf population areas, which is Washington DC, Frederick, and Baltimore. There is a great need to establish strong Deaf churches in those areas to strengthen Lord’s outreach opportunities. Fact #2: CBDC is located near four Deaf schools: Kendall Demonstration Elementary School, Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, DC, and Maryland Schools for the Deaf in Frederick and Columbia. They need a Bible study leader to lead weekly sessions and to oversee the growth of the program. The total estimate will be around 800 to 1,000 Deaf students. Fact #3: CBDC acknowledges approximately 1,000 to 3,000 Deaf children are also in the mainstreamed programs. This highlights a great need to establish bible study for those students. Fact #4: CBDC is located close to Gallaudet University which has around 2,000 students. It is a great harvest field for you to reap and gain new workers for Lord. Fact #5: CBDC is praying for more than 150 pastors to the Deaf in America to be called by the Lord. This prayer shows our strong desire for our nation to return to Lord and that all Deaf people may receive the chance to hear the gospel in their own language. Fact #6: CBDC’s reason regarding Fact #5 is that America only has 12 Deaf Independent Baptist churches and 40 Deaf ministries across America to minister around 15 million Deaf people, which highlights the morally-declining America’s great need for the Deaf people. Fact #7: CBDC’s mother church, Hampshire View Baptist Deaf Church, is a very strong supporter of the missions program. The church’s mission budget amounts over $10,000 for the missionaries. CBDC will be able to train workers for missionary work overseas. Fact #8: CBDC believes that in having more Deaf churches in America will result in the increased numbers of missionaries being sent overseas to the Deaf and more evangelists provided for revival. Many Deaf missionaries are frustrated by the lack of strong support and low operating funds. Fact #9: CBDC’s faculty is staffed by all Deaf graduates of respectable Bible colleges. The combined experience in Deafness and spiritual training will provide to be most helpful in many aspects of your life. Fact #10: CBDC’s curriculum will assure you upon your graduation, you would have received complete training in education, spiritual life, and soul winning, which will qualify you to be Lord’s Servant. |
